New Look of Patent and Trademark Registration Certificates

Starting January 1, 2016, Taiwan Intellectual Property Office’s patent and trademark registration certificates began to have a new look. The new certificates for patent and integrated circuit layout design are stylized with the unique totem of Formosan black bear, which is an endangered species in Taiwan. The new trademark registration certificate is stylized with the elegance and beauty of the Taiwanese salmon, which is endemic to Taiwan. Both designs are created by combining continuous curves and geometric patterns, indicating the exclusivity and intangible value of granted patents and trademarks. The new looks are as follows:
