New Zealand: Update to Trademark Practice Guidelines

Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand (IPONZ) has updated trademark practice guidelines. Specifically, Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand has updated amendments to trademark applications and authorization of agency requirements for mergers.

 

For Amendments to Trademark Applications, the update now clarifies the actions that must take place if an amendment for a trademark application on the same day the application is filed is to be requested. For more information, please refer to

For Authorization of Agency Requirements for Mergers, the update now clarifies that an agent may only request for the merger of two or more trademark applications if they are the agent for all of the trademarks on the merger request. For more information, please refer to
